Provider Insurance

  • Curv Health does not provide tax, legal or accounting advice. This material has been prepared for informational purposes only, and is not intended to provide, and should not be relied on for, tax, legal or accounting advice. You should feel free to consult your local tax, legal and accounting advisors before building your practice!

  • As a user of Curv, you are an independent contractor - fully responsible for your own business, hours, rates, insurance and taxes. If you are an ‘employee’ of a clinic - you may not have had to deal with this before - but no fret! It’s quite easy to figure out what coverage you need to practice on Curv.
  • For registered care professionals, most colleges in North America will tell you explicitly that you have your own professional liability insurance of a specific amount of money (i.e., minimum coverage of $5 million dollars for the policy period) and tail insurance for a specific amount of time (i.e., tail insurance for a minimum of 10 years). Please check your local college’s requirements to ensure you are protecting yourself and remain in good standing!
  • For non-registered professionals (i.e., Health Coaches), you should absolutely investigate what coverage you can acquire depending on the type of care you’re delivering, the clients you seek to service, and the regions you want to practice in. Often times, the insurance provider recommended by your local college (explained above) will offer extended coverage for non-registered care roles.
